A workshop on ‘Ghusl Mayyit’ was conducted on 5 May 2024 by Moulana Syed Aqeel Shah at the center. The workshop detailed the fiqh behind ghusl, kafan, dealing with the deceased and before/during time of death.
In Islam, the process of preparing a deceased Muslim for burial is a highly respected and meticulous practice, reflecting deep spiritual and communal values. One of the most significant aspects of this preparation is the ritual washing of the body, known as Ghusl Mayyit. This practice is not only an act of purification but also an expression of reverence and care for the deceased.
Syed covered every aspect of the process with infographics on how the Ghusl should be done. It is essential for every Muslim to know the process of Ghusl, Kafan and dealing with the deceased inorder to better prepare ourselves for Life after death.
