Sheikh Nabil Ahmed Awan was born and raised in Peterborough, England and started his journey into Islamic Studies in 2004 in the Holy City of Qom. He holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Psychology and also served as an elected City Councillor for the Labour Party from 2011-2016. He was previously the resident Aalim for the Al Zahra centre in Nottingham and Bait ul Qaim centre in Bradford, he is now the resident Aalim for ISIA Edmonton.
An avid practitioner and instructor of Wing Chun Kung Fu; he is also the founder of Operation: 313 a camp aimed at teaching bushcraft and wilderness survival techniques and he has been speaking for over 18 years in Masajid around the world.
